Jack Mann

Professor of Art and Chair.  I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio.  I received my B.F.A. (bachelor of fine arts) degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning; I worked on my M.F.A. in sculpture at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois and received my M.A. in art education from the University of Cincinnati.  I also studied drawing at the California Institute of the Arts.  My creative interests are in drawing, painting, and sculpture.  I am included in many private collections and have done both public and private sculpture.  I have sculptures at the Columbus Metropolitan Public Library, Bluffton College, The City of Centerville, Ohio, Wittenberg University, and a Holocaust Memorial Sculpture at Rockdale Temple in Cincinnati.  I am represented by S.E. Feinman Fine Arts LDT in New York City and Sonia Zaks Gallery in Chicago, Illinois.  I have been at Wittenberg since 1976.

Editor's Note (Warning):  If you take any of his drawing classes you more than likely will be forced to draw a bird (why? your guess is as good as mine).  Also, there's a good chance that the skeleton pictured at the left will make an appearance in a drawing too.  Oh yeah...don't bother asking any questions, he won't give you a straight answer.
