
Dr. deLanglade is a frequent consultant on agronomy. He has published several botanical articles and made numerous presentations to area schools on the local Cedar Bog, as well as other topics. He frequently directs student groups on field trips to the Bahamas. He was instrumental in developing Wittenberg's student park and other green spaces. deLanglade has participated in the National Science Foundation Radiobotany Institute. He has designed courses in woody plants, comparative communities, ecosystematics, and local flora. He also supervises students participating in the Duke School of the Environment 3/2 Program and the 3/2 Washington University Occupational Therapy Program. deLanglade was awarded his B.A. at Wabash College and his M.S. and Ph.D. at Purdue University. He came to Wittenberg in 1967.
