3-2 Engineering Program
| The 3-2 Engineering Program involves taking 3 years of courses at Wittenberg and 2 years of
courses at a cooperating engineering school. This provides you with a B.A. in Chemistry from
Wittenberg
and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the other school.
Since you must complete all of the General Education requirements at Wittenberg in 3 years,
most
of the Chemistry major, and several Math and Physics courses, this program requires careful
scheduling of
classes.
The requirements are: |
| Chemistry 121 |
Models of Chemical Systems |
5 credits |
| Chemistry 162 |
Structure and Analysis |
5 credits |
| Chemistry 201 |
Organic Chemistry I |
5 credits |
| Chemistry 281 |
Analytical Chemistry |
5 credits |
| Chemistry 311 |
Physical Chemistry I |
5 credits |
| Chemistry 300 |
Junior Seminar |
1 credit |
| Chemistry 400 |
Senior Seminar |
1 credit |
| All Chemistry Majors also must take: |
| Math 201 |
Calculus I |
4 credits |
| Math 202 |
Calculus II |
4 credits |
| Physics 200 |
Mechanics and Waves |
5 credits |
| Physics 230 |
Thermo/EM Phenomena |
5 credits |
| Additional requirements for the 3-2 program are: |
| Math 212 |
Multivariable Calculus |
| Math 215 |
Differential Equations |
| Phys 220 |
Modern Physics |
| Comp 150 |
Computer Programming I |
NOTES:
- Two (of three) of your Chemistry electives can be transferred
back from the engineering
program.
- To complete the program in 3 years, it is assumed that you can
start in Math 201 and will
only need to take one language course.
- Approximately 111 credits must be completed at Wittenberg.
