Marketing Intern
Summary:
The Marketing Intern is a strategic and tactical role that reports to the Vice President of Strategy and Professional Services. Responsibilities are varied, but are focused on supporting the development and commercialization of software and information decision-support tools and systems. Actual assignment may vary, depending on evolving business needs and when/how many successful internship candidate(s) come on board. Responsibilities, timelines and deliverables will be well defined and manageable.
Examples of information technology assignments to aid in commercialization include:
- Help define, size and segment addressable markets
- Creating and analyzing competitive landscapes
- Developing classification and profiles of prospective clients
- Researching profiles of prospects for clients and helping advise them on strategic planning
Preferred Skills and Characteristics:
- Excellent analytical thinking: good written and oral communications; experience developing software in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Capability to understand larger system framework and develop useful components that "fit" the overall framework.
- Organized; ability to focus; take direction and ask relevant questions.
- Initiative/self-starter; ambitious; forthright; comfortable/happy in fast-paced work environment.
- Highly motivated to succeed and contribute; not easily daunted; resilient and eager to learn; team player; highly interested in securing a full-time position with Qbase after graduation.
- Tech-friendly and data-centric is a big plus. Course work or other background in information systems is a definite nice-to-have.
- Must have minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Must be of junior or senior level.
