FULL TIME MEDIA INTERNSHIPS IN NEW YORK CITY - Fall & Spring Semesters

The New York Media Experience Program was specially designed to formulate a rigorous full-time semester-long study/internship. NYMEP is only for undergraduate students and only operates during Fall & Spring semesters. Students are enrolled in a 400+ hour internship and also take two 3-credit online courses. Both courses - seminars in Media Ethics and Media Management - provide students a solid theoretical grounding to match their in-depth field experiences with some of the most competitive firms in the media industry.

NYMEP features personalized internship placement to ensure a strong match between students and site. Internships will commit students to spending 4 days of full-time work each week for 12 or more weeks in a professional environment. Faculty members conduct personal site visits. Sites are selected from leading media companies where students will be welcomed and challenged.

Who should apply to NYMEP? Here's what we're looking for:

NYMEP students live on the upper east side of Manhattan, the renowned 92nd St. Y. The residential neighborhood features many nearby restaurants and shops. The famous "Y" is a well known community center whose 900-seat lecture hall hosts talks by authors, intellectuals, and leaders in business, government, and the arts.
