Teaches courses in Public Speaking, Reasoning and Communication, and Communication Theory, as well as several special topics courses, including Health Communication, Intercultural Communication, and Nonverbal Communication. Her research focuses on the role of information in patients' involvement in their medical care. She holds a B.A. degree from Concordia College (Moorhead, MN), an M.A. degree from Wake Forest University (Winston-Salem, NC), an M.A. degree from The Ohio State University (Columbus, OH), and she received her Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in December 2003. She joined the faculty in 2002.
