BMB 400. Primary Literature Seminar
2 credits
Goodman, Margaret
Pre-requisites: Biochemistry/Molecular Biology major or minor. Must have previously completed either Chemistry 271 or Biology 310 and have permission of the instructor.
In this course we will investigate current topics in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, relying on the primary literature. We will begin with an investigation of seminal papers in regulation of gene expression and then move to other topics that you will select in consultation with the instructor. This will emphasize the relationship between concepts and techniques that introduced in previous courses and their application in a contemporary research project. Class sessions will be predominantly student-led discussion and presentation.
