The Freeman Advisory Committee (FAC) is creating opportunities for group travel to Asia, organized and led by EAS faculty. The purpose of the group travel is to demystify contemporary China, Japan, and Korea and render East Asian peoples and cultures more familiar and accessible to a cross-section of students and student leaders, regardless of their academic interests or major. An annual summer tour to one or more countries in East Asia for a student group.  In December students in Wittenberg's Honors Program traveled to China.

Other possibilities include conducting a tour for a small group of community leaders, particularly educators. This tour will build upon and strengthen Wittenberg's tie to the local community, established and maintained through the Education Department, Community Service Program, Urban Studies Program, and the Lutheran Church.
