INSTITUTE FOR EDUCATION INNOVATION
TEACHING ASSOCIATES PROGRAM

Description

The Teaching Associate program is one component of Wittenberg's Institute for Education Innovation, a public and university partnership that has been created to promote the continuous improvement of teaching and learning in our schools. Teaching Associates are outstanding classroom teachers who have been selected to work as partners in creating courses and other professional development opportunities for area practitioners. Through the teaching of graduate level courses and through other outreach activities sponsored through the Institute, they will share practical knowledge and experiences with their colleagues. They will act as educational leaders and advocates for children in their own classrooms and generally serve as positive, active, and vigorous voices for practical professional development for educators in our community.

Purposes

The purposes of the program are:

  1. Teaching Innovations
  2. Community Outreach
  3. Urban Studies
