Degree Overview
redline

One strength of Wittenberg's teacher education program comes from the collaborative relationships you will build with the Wittenberg faculty. Through these partnerships, your professors will help you make the most of your abilities and in return will ask that you live up to your potential. And the results are obvious particularly once you are teaching in your own classroom.

At Wittenberg we believe that becoming a teacher involves more than developing a narrowly defined set of skills. Wittenberg-educated teachers benefit from the breadth and depth of our liberal arts preparation.

All education students participate in clinical and field experiences designed to provide gradually increasing responsibilities in a variety of settings. Every education course will involve significant teaching experience in the local schools and give you an opportunity to learn if the education profession suits you. By the time you begin your 10-week student-teaching experience during your senior year, you will be fully prepared and confident.
