Ronald A. deLanglade, Professor of Biology, is a frequent consult on agronomy. The author of Continuity of Life: A Biology Lab Manual , now in its 17th edition, he has published several botanical articles and made numerous presentations to area schools on the local Cedar Bog, as well as other topics. He frequently directs student groups on field trips to the Bahamas and the Great Smoky Mountains. He was instrumental in developing Wittenberg's student park and other green spaces. Formerly a laboratory technician for the Indianapolis Board of Health, deLanglade has participated in the National Science Foundation Radiobotany Institute. He has designed courses in woody plants, plant communities, ecosystematics, and plant propagation. He also supervises students participating in the Duke School of the Environment 3/2 Program, the 3/3 Case Western Reserve Nursing Program, and the 3/2 Washington University Occupational Therapy Program. He was awarded his B.A. degree at Wabash College and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees at Purdue University. deLanglade came to Wittenberg in 1967.
