Student-Centered Facilities

Hollenbeck HallJust one step in Wittenberg’s architecturally rich, research-focused facilities reveals our student-centered philosophy. Designed for small classes, lab settings and one-on-one interaction with professors, our facilities provide an excellent learning environment. The Barbara Deer Kuss Science Center contains modern technology and equipment, including new cell and microbiology labs, organic chemistry labs and neurobiology and physiology labs, so that students from all disciplines can experience hands-on learning. Built in 1931, Weaver Observatory houses Wittenberg's historic 10-inch refracting telescope, completely refurbished in 2003, as well as modern astronomical instrumentation.

Home to the humanities, Hollenbeck Hall houses a 24-hour computer lab, the Math Workshop, the Writing Center and the Foreign Language Learning Center. Carnegie Hall is home to the Wittenberg Center for Applied Management (WittCAM), through which students serve as consultants to help area businesses succeed. Students studying the visual and performing arts have access to art studios and the Ann Miller Gallery for displaying both student and professional artwork, a dance studio and black box theater that seats 200, as well as the John M. Chowning Laboratory for Music and Technology, practice rooms and recital space.
