Student Senate, Student Life and the First-Year Experience Program sponsored the 1st Annual Euchre Challenge on March 14th. Wittenberg Faculty and Staff challenged the students to a game of Euchre. The Euchre speed tournament took place in Geil Lounge for two hours on that Friday evening. Forty-eight people enjoyed three rounds of friendly competition.
Door prizes (including gift certificates to Un Mundo Cafe and Post 95, Wittenberg shirts and other Wittenberg items) were awarded to participants. Jamie Mack, a junior, won the Grand Door prize – a basket full of Wittenberg items.
In the grand finale round, the Faculty/Staff team with the most points, Cathie Kuss and her son Gabe Kuss, challenged the student team with the most points, Clayton Simons and Ben Scott. Each individual on the teams that made it to the grand finale received gift certificates for Seasons Bistro & Grille.
