Class of 1971

CALHOUN, ALAN J.

"For the last two years I have been the Medical Director of the University of Massachusetts Student Health
Service.  I still get to meet history majors, but I must admit that it is limited to a physical perspective."

COOPER, PATRICIA A.

"I just completed four years as Director of the Women's studies program at the University of Kentucky.  My Dutch
co-author, Ruth Oldenzul, and I have written an essay, "Cherished Classifications: Bathrooms and the Construction of
Gender/Race on the Pennsylvania Railroad during World War II."  that will appear in Feminist Studies in the Spring
      of 1999."

RYDER, R. SCOTT

"I have just finished a textbook in my field of Juvenile Justice which will be published by Agen Press in October of
this year.  My co-author and I have labored over this project since April of 1995.  Tentative title: Juvenile Justice:
      Myth or Reality.

For relaxation I love to read historical fiction!  CF Forester's Hornblower series and the like.  Just reading the front
page requires historical knowledge and perspective."
