"I teach history at all levels for special
education students at different levels (7th grade Ohio history to World
and
American History). Sometimes the
students work at grade level, at other times, they are multiple handicapped
and
work at a third or fourth grade reading
level. I try to convey an understanding and an appreciation of our heritage
to
these students in order to provide a
greater understanding of themselves. I also watch documentaries and
read
historical novels."
