"In April 1995
I married Jack Coleman, whom I’d met while at Winterthur as a graduate
student. We became the first
two members of
the museum’s education department ever to marry! (Jack works weekends
as a tour guide.) We are
expecting our
first child this November. I lecture several times a year on my MA
thesis topic of 19th c. American
interiors and
how they can be documented through probable records and diaries.
I work in the school
programs office at Winterthur Museum, inculcating children ages 3-18 with
American history and
design.
I also run a 2-week summer history camp for children 8-11. In my
free time, I enjoy antiquing, visiting historic
sites and critiquing
historical films for the accuracy of their period interiors. My husband
shares these passions."
