Dr. Proctor has been teaching world, modern
European, and women's history at Wittenberg since 1998. Born in Kansas
City, Missouri, she received her bachelor's degree in journalism and
history from the University of Missouri in 1990 and her master's and
doctoral degrees in history from Rutgers, The State University of New
Jersey. |

Research Interests
Her professional interests include gender and the cultural/social history of youth, militarism, war, and empire in the 19th and 20th centuries. She is presently at work on a history of civilians in World War I.
