We encourage majors
to explore the practical application of the history major through internships.
Students receive course credit after they have:
-
created a journal
describing pertinent activities of the internship;
-
written a reflective
paper evaluating their experience in the light of the major; and
-
submitted a letter to their successor
in the internship detailing the significance of the experience as a potential
career path.
Students are advised and
supervised by
Dr. Scott Rosenberg, Internship Coordinator.
Some internships
our students have undertaken include work done with:
-
the Clark
County Historical Society
-
the Springfield
Museum of Art
-
Marriott Dining
Services
-
the Springfield
Bar and Law Library
-
the Hometown
