French Tutors:
redline

Kathryn Brunton:

My name is Kathryn Brunton and I’m a sophomore at Wittenberg, and I work in the FLLC as a French tutor.  I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and have lived there all my life, but will soon be moving to Safford, Arizona.  (Hopefully there will be less humidity there than there is here).  I don’t have any brothers or sisters, which can be both a good and a bad thing.  Sometimes I wish I had an older brother.  I have a Jack Russel Terrier named Mia who has more energy than she knows what to do with, and I used to have a parakeet until I discovered I was allergic to it.  Oops.  As far as French goes, my mother started teaching me French in Kindergarten ( I was homeschooled through ninth grade), and then I took French for all four years of high school.  I took French 215 my first year at Wittenberg, and am now enrolled in French 210 with Dr. Wilkerson.  Please stop by if you ever need any help!

Emily Ellermann:

Bonjour! My name is Emily Ellermann and I'm from Littleton, Colorado. I'm a sophomore at Witt and a double major with French and (International) Management. I've been learning French since the 7th grade and I've been tutoring for just about a year. One fun French thing to do is read all the Asterix books and then watch the Asterix et Obelix movies on the big screen!

Alexandre Linquette :

Hey everyone!
My name is Alexandre Linquette, but just call me Alex!
I am one of your French tutors this year. I am 21 and was born in northern France. I spent all my life there, in Lille (a very beautiful city which is typical of Flemish architecture and at the same time very modern, at a convenient distance from Paris, Brussels and London!).  I am here for one year, as a non-degree student, since I am studying English in my home university. My major here is English literature. I love to read (read Paul Auster or Japanese writers such as Haruki Murakami!! I'm sorry, I can't stop myself!)... I also like music very much (listen to Xavier Rudd or the Texan band Midlake!! My favorite!! Oops... but of course if you ask me I can recommend some good French music...). I hope I can share the culture of my country with you as well because I think it is always a good thing to learn from others.  Also, as a native speaker, I hope I can help you at my best, especially concerning the accent.  I am looking forward to meeting all you guys!

Janelle Mahowald :

Bonjour!  I’m Janelle Mahowald and I am a sophomore Chemistry major here at Witt, along with my French and Math minors. This is my first year tutoring here at the FLLC, wooooooooooooo!!! I’ve been studying French for about 7 years now, and hope to go abroad next spring.  Even though I am a chem dork, I still enjoy French and have a bad habit of busting into French at the wrong times. Oh well, je vivrai et je désire que vous me visitiez au FLLC.

Elise Willer:

Bonjour! Je m’appelle Élise!  My name is Elise Willer and I am a sophomore at Wittenberg.  Right now I am an undeclared Political Science major and French minor.  I spent my junior year of high school as an exchange student in a little French town in the Western part of France.  Over the years of French classes and then my year abroad I fell in love with the French, their culture and their language.   Thus being my reason for tutoring French at Witt.  This last summer I returned to Europe with my family and part of our trip was introducing my immediate family to my families and friends in France which again rekindled my love for all things francophone.
