Japanese Tutors:
redline

Joseph Hunter :

I am from Alpine, AL, a small town in the middle of nowhere. I have studied Japanese for three years, and I spent my junior year studying abroad at Nanzan University in Nagoya. If you have any questions about Nanzan, Nagoya, or just study abroad in general feel free to ask. I believe it is very important to communicate and understand people from different culture, and one of the best ways to do that is through the language. Culture defines language, so it is like you are learning both at the same time. Well, I hope to see many students stop by the Language Learning semester this year. Good luck and take care.

Tyler Roberts:

I am a sophomore here at Wittenberg University. Languages fascinate me, and I hope to get some sort of degree in linguistics. I come from Perry, a small town in northeastern Ohio, and I enjoy reading, writing, running, playing video games, listening to music, among other hobbies.  I intend to study abroad in Japan my junior year and further my knowledge of the Japanese language and culture, as well as my appreciation for world cultures in general. In tutoring Japanese this year, I hope to help other students realize how fun and interesting the Japanese language can be.

Amanda Rollins:

Hello fellow students, who are just waiting to be tutored by me! My name is Amanda Rollins, East Asian Studies senior, and I've just spent my junior year in Osaka, Japan at Kansai Gaidai University. Born and raised in southern California, I enjoy going online, reading Harry Potter, and doing theatre here at Witt. I'm very excited to meet you and help you with Japanese. I'm already sitting in the lab, anticipating the day that you walk through that door and sashay up to me, demanding to know the negative short form of "matsu" (to wait), and I will jump up and embrace your burning desire for knowledge with my own burning desire to provide it by shrieking "MATANAIKA?!!" Don't keep me waiting another minute!!

Kantaro Suzuki:

Ossu Ora Kantaro! My name is Kantaro Suzuki, am a Jr. at Witt. I was born in Asakusa, Tokyo. My hometown is very traditional! I like being with my friends, having fun, drinking, and studying! If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. Since Japan is a totally different country, to know its culture is also important for learning Japanese. If you want to know about history, culture, and taste of Sake, you can also ask me! Yoroshiku!~

Dan Wilson:

Hello, Hello. My name is Dan Wilson and I'm a senior here at Wittenberg and I'm from Akron, Ohio. Anyway, I just returned from spending a year studying aboard in Tokyo, Japan at Sophia University. I've been taking Japanese for about 3 or 3.5 years now and I'm still in love with it. Even if it seems difficult, don't give up! I'm totally excited to be working in the FLLC this year and I really want everyone to come visit me if they have any questions about Japanese. I'm the type of guy who likes to have a really good time, all of the time, so I'm a pretty easy-going guy. I look forward to meeting you! Ki wo tsukete! (Take care!)
