Life at Wittenberg
Graduation Year: 2006
Major: Computer Science
Most Helpful Courses: My most helpful courses included higher level math courses as well as any classes which focused on logic. These courses helped me in my current profession.
Most Helpful Experiences: I found the smaller class sizes that Wittenberg offered directly helped my comprehension of the materials. After starting out in public schools, I immediately saw a change in my interest as well as my comprehension of course materials.
Graduation Year: 2008
Degree: Associate Degree in Computer Networking Systems
First Job: My first job after Wittenberg was an internship with Miami Valley Hospital’s Device and Image Team.
Current Job: Citrix Systems Analyst
I work on the Citrix team and am responsible for over 200 blade servers that run various applications including EPIC, the paperless Electronic Medical Records application. My team provides thousands of employees across multiple hospitals and clinics access to applications based on group membership.
Advice: Don’t be afraid to start out at the bottom and work your way up. After my internship, I took the first job available in it and continued to work my way up to my current role.
