Major: Economics

Department Activities: Won the Paul Hessler Award (split with Shannon Cooper), wrote an honors thesis in Economics

Athletics: Track and Field (two years)

Extra Curricular Activities: Club Sailing

Greek: Delta Tau Delta including one year as chapter president

Most Helpful Courses: Writing my honors thesis developed my abilities to work on my own on a long-term project/research, the entire math track gave me a very good grounding for further study.

Most Helpful Experiences: Being president of my fraternity, because it taught me excellent time-management skills, how to run effective meetings, improved my communication skills with both my peers and superiors, taught me how to plan successful events and long-term strategy.  A close second was my trip to Lesotho with Dr. Rosenberg because it immersed me in an entirely different culture and showed me the realities of life in other parts of the world.

Courses You Wish You Would’ve Taken: Topology because it keeps coming up in other graduate classes, more computer programming because I really enjoyed 150 but never had room to schedule more.
