Shannon Cooper

Life at Wittenberg

Graduation Year: 2009

Major: Mathematics

Minor: Spanish

Extracurricular Activities: Cheerleading and Women’s Choir

Most Helpful Classes: My most helpful math classes were Abstract Algebra and Linear Algebra.  Those classes taught me how to better write my proofs and how to approach problems.

Courses Wish Taken: Now tat I am in grad school I wish that I had seen material in Complex Analysis and Graph Theory.  I feel like Witt had a limited amount of upper level math classes that did not appeal to everyone.  For non math classes, I wish Witt offered more language classes.

Most Helpful Experiences: Talking about life after Witt with the math professors.  They helped me realize that I had the option of going to grad school for free which I did not realize.  Since I ended up with no job prospects, grad school was a good option for me.
