Life at Wittenberg

Graduation Year: 2010

Major: Mathematics and Economics

Minor: Computational Science and Chinese

Department Activities: I had two wonderful internship/research experiences with some professors from our department after my sophomore and junior years.

Extra Curricular: Martial Arts Club

Advice: Take as much math as you can for you simply never can have enough of it.  Even at the beginning phase of my graduate school career, I cannot emphasize the importance of the math enough, especially in the field of Economics.

Most Helpful Courses: While every math class I took at Wittenberg were all incredibly helpful, the most helpful ones were Real Analysis, Differential Equations and Optimization for they dovetail nicely with the graduate curriculum.

Most Helpful Experiences: My experience back at Wittenberg was incredibly helpful in preparing me for graduate school.  In particular, the two summer experiences played a very important role in my graduate school application for they gave me a sense of what research is all about.

Courses You Wish You Would’ve Taken: I wish I had taken Mathematical Statistics but professor Andrews was on sabbatical back then.
