Department Activities: I had 2 internships. One where I did computational research on esophageal adenocarcinoma (cancer) at the University of Michigan and the second where I worked for the National Cancer Institute in Frederick MD doing computational research on the genetics of cancer.

Most Helpful Courses: For my career choice the most beneficial classes were Comp 260 and Statistics. However I really enjoyed all of the classes that I took with Parker.

First Job and Current Job: I’m rotating in labs, but because I’m in a PhD program I’m getting paid for the lab work that I’m doing. So far I’ve worked on viral oncogenesis and anthrax.
