Springfield, OH-WittCam consultants Andrew Kent, Brett Mitchell, and Stephanie Rines are working with a local author to prepare a marketing plan for selling her self-published books.  During the semester, the team will create a sales contact database for the client, develop a protocol for selling the book in different venues, analyze past PR strategies and tactics, identify possible target segments, and complete a sales analysis.

Andrew Kent ’08 is a senior management major with a concentration in law and minor in economics from Granville, OH. He is currently working on a WittCAM project to launch a start up restaurant-related business. Kent has worked with Plant Essentials holding responsibilities for customer service and product placement and staging. During the summer he worked for Judge Craig Baldwin, at the Licking County Domestic Court, where he helped with the summary of case files, as well as worked on mailing lists and other court appointed tasks for the court’s mediator. Kent also went to New Orleans as part of Primetime to help with Hurricane Katrina relief. In his free time, he enjoys watching movies, reading, and sports. Kent will be looking for a job in the field of marketing in the Columbus area when he graduates and plans to attend graduate or law school in the future.

Brett Mitchell '08, from Bloomfield, MI, is a management major with a concentration in marketing and minors in economics, history, and environmental studies. While at Wittenberg, he has served as the scholarship chair of Lambda Chi Alpha, the treasurer of the ultimate frisbee team, and also played a season with the men’s varsity tennis team. This past summer, Mitchell worked as an intern at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan where he worked closely with the on-site pharmacist as well as the supervisor of the Josephine Cancer Center. On campus, Mitchell earned donations working for the Wittenberg Phonathon and helped coordinate and referee sports as a member of the Wittenberg Intramural Staff. Mitchell enjoys playing intramural sports, meeting new people, and keeping fit. After he graduates, he plans to backpack through Europe and visit his sister.

Stephanie Rines ’08, from Portland, IN, is an English major with minors in management and history.  Currently, she interns with WittPATH, the university’s center for career services.  Rines’s notable past work experience includes a summer internship with the human resource department of Workhorse Custom Chassis in Union City (IN) and a position as a tutor counselor for Upward Bound Summer Camp.  She is currently president of Wittenberg’s Mortar Board chapter and has also served as President and Programming Chair of the Residence Hall Association.  Rines’s other campus activities include Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, SGAC, Primetime, church activities, intramural sports, and Ivy Ring.  Rines spent fall 2006 studying abroad in Ireland and recently participated in the Hurricane Katrina relief trip to Mississippi.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, playing sports, traveling abroad, and being outdoors.  Following graduation, Rines plans to spend a year volunteering for AmeriCorps.
