Springfield, OH—The Wittenberg University Department of Management has selected nine seniors for distinguished honors and honorable mention for their Management Senior Portfolios. Each year the Management faculty, along with local businesspeople, select the most outstanding portfolios. This year 57 management majors presented their portfolios. Students whose portfolios represent the highest caliber of work are given the title of Distinguished or Honorable Mention.
Portfolios serve as a compilation of seniors' management knowledge and experiences, and exceptional evidence of their ability to apply management concepts and theory. Students also find the portfolio a useful tool to use in job interviews and admission to graduate or professional programs.
This year's distinguished seniors are:Josh Fiebiger from Fletcher, Ohio,Ashley Manson from Covington, Ohio, Cait Mather from Mason, Ohio, Allison Scaia from St. Louis, Missouri, and Mai Trinh from Hanoi, Vietnam.
This year's honorable mention seniors are:Katie Barsan from Silver Lake, Ohio, Jon Duraj from Brecksville, Ohio, James Hunter from Cincinnati, Ohio, Kait Knight from Lorain, Ohio, Maureen Walsh from Highland Heights Ohio, and Matt Wigton from Lancaster, Ohio.
The Wittenberg Management Portfolio process has two parts: a physical portfolio, drawn from the student's experiences since becoming a management major, and an oral presentation on a topic of the student's choice, followed by questions from a panel of managers and faculty evaluators. The portfolio must contain at least three elements demonstrating the student's management knowledge and experience. |
