Case Competition - 2007 Competition

2007 Competition
"Historically, six schools have participated in the competition, including Capital University, Juniata College, Marietta College, Mount Union College, Ohio Northern, and Wittenberg University. During the competition, student participants prepare analyses and recommendations to Harvard Business School cases and present their work to a panel of managers selected from the community who serve as judges."
This spring Wittenberg will serve as host for the annual Tau Pi Phi Case Competition. The competition, involving 30-40 economics, accounting and management students, will take place Friday, March 30 and Saturday, March 31, 2007 at the Courtyard Marriott in downtown Springfield, OH.
This year’s planning committee is comprised of three, hard-working management majors: Cari Gronowski (leader), Zack Bitzer, and Suzanne Thompson. Their efforts are supported through Wittenberg’s Center for Applied Management and supervised by Dr. Wendy Gradwohl.
The group has been meeting once a week since August to plan all the behind-the-scenes work to make this year’s competition a success. They have been busy securing sponsors (i.e., Courtyard Marriott and Fifth Third), contacting local professionals to participate as judges, arranging presentation rooms and hotel rooms, and finalizing this year’s budget.
Next year’s Tau Pi Phi Case Competition (2008) will be held at Capital University. The date is to be determined.
