Strategic Sourcing at IBM to kick off 2008-2009 Exec-in-Residence program.

Springfield, OH – The management department hosts its first executive-in-residence of the 2008-2009 academic year on September 10th with Wittenberg alumnus Michael Flood, `84. Flood is currently Vice President of Strategic Sourcing for IBM. In addition to management class sessions, Flood will deliver a keynote address, “Positioning Yourself on the Path to Career Success in an Ever Changing Global Roadmap - Reflections from an Alumni's 25-year Planned & Spontaneous Career Meanderings,” at 4:00 pm in Bayley Auditorium. Flood also will share experiences with invited management students and faculty at a dinner following his presentation.
Michael Flood has been with IBM for 24 years, and has worked across multiple functions, business lines and geographies. His primary responsibility is IBM’s business optimization, transformation & strategic sourcing practice in a $3.2 billion business. In addition, Flood leads IBM’s services business development engagement model and global best practices efforts and oversees the company’s southwest Ohio & northern Kentucky business region operations which includes managing approximately 640 IBM associates.
