Human Resource Management class conducts Wage and Benefit Study for Greater Springfield/Clark County

redline

Febuary 12, 2009

Dr. Gradwohl’s Human Resource class will be conducting a Wage & Benefit project this semester which includes a survey that has been mailed out to 1500 Greater Springfield/Clark County organizations.  The team’s client is the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with WorkPlus One-Stop Center.  Students will be calling organizations to remind them to complete the survey and clarify data, entering the survey data into SPSS, analyzing the data, and developing a detailed report of the survey findings.  The purpose of the survey is to help organizations assess external equity – comparisons of similar jobs in different organizations.  This survey will provide several benefits to the community which includes using data to attract new employers to the area, helping new companies establish a competitively priced wage structure, and allowing current employers to determine whether they are leading, matching, or lagging the competition in terms of pay-level policies.
