John Fenimore Named Eagle Class Honoree

Columbus OH- Professor John Fenimore was recognized as this year’s Eagle Class Honoree at the 2006 Distinguished Eagle Dinner June 14, 2006 at the Aladdin Shrine Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Fenimore, who became a Scout Master in 1992 of Troop 166 in Bexley Ohio, has helped assist over 30 young men, including his 3 sons, obtain the rank of Eagle Scout. Although Fenimore himself was never a scout, as an adult he wanted to give his sons and other young men a chance to excel in such a great program.
Fenimore’s ability to teach lead him to one of his most cherished roles in Scouting, the Council’ Training Chairman. He is also currently serving as the Council’s Endowment Chairman.
Fenimore, who was selected as the 2003 Citizen of the Year by the Bexley Celebration Committee, has won several other scouting awards during his time serving with the Simon Kenton Council, Boy Scout of America including the Silver Beaver and the Heroism Award.
Fenimore, who has been on the faculty at Wittenberg for six years, teaches finance accounting, intermediate accounting, and auditing. He was Executive VP at Abbott Foods before joining the faculty, and served as chairperson of the Wittenberg Department of Management for three years. He earned his Master of Accounting at Bowling Green University and became a CPA in 1973, after earning his bachelor degree from Muskingum College. Fenimore is happily married and resides in Bexley, OH.
