•  Partner in Malone & Vrooman Historic Restorations LLC, which restores and resells houses in the historic district of Marietta, Ohio

•  Author of Daniel Willard and Progressive Management on the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad (Ohio State University Press, 1991), a case study of a notable management innovator of the 1920's and '30's.

•  Coauthor of Nursing Home Management (Charles C. Thomas, 1983), a health services textbook

•  Author of articles for Essays in Business and Economic History and Journal of Behavioral Economics

 

Research Interest

 

•  In his most recent research, conducted for the St. Louis Mercantile Library, Dr. Vrooman interviewed several top railroad executives of the 1970's with respect to their roles in the turnaround of a once moribund but now prosperous industry.

Other Interests/ Information

Dr. Vrooman’s non-professional interests include choral singing, playing the trombone, model     railroading, and restoring Victorian-era houses.
