WittSem100L: Patterns in Nature, Fall 2007

Witt Series assignment

You should go to at least one of the events in the list below this semester (for more description of the Witt Series events, follow the link to A-Z index at the top of the Wittenberg home page, then follow the link to Wittenberg Series to find the list). Within a week of going to an event, give me (or email me) your own word-processed response to the event. The first paragraph should be descriptive of the event: describe what it was and how it unfolded for someone who wasn't there. The second paragraph should communicate something that you got out of the event--preferably something positive. This may be, for example, something you learned, or it may be something you discovered about yourself--for example, that you find the music of Chopin makes you feel melancholy.

Another campus cultural event or special seminar or lecture (not something that’s part of a regular class) may be substituted for a Witt Series event if you have permission from me in advance.

Your grade for this assignment will be based on content and on writing mechanics (e.g. avoiding grammatical or spelling errors.)
