had by all:
The Fall semester has started off on a sorrowful note with the death of longtime friend of the Department and University, Arthur Lutz (Springfield News Sun article , obituary). Professor Emeritus of Physics, Art Lutz contributed greatly to the department and its members in the 32 years he taught here before his retirement in 1975. After retirement, he and his wife Martha did not forget the Department or the University, giving generously to both. |
