Department of Physics - Faculty and Staff

Wittenberg Physics faculty are well known for their dedicated and successful teaching, having won teaching awards, written highly-regarded textbooks, published research into how innovative lab experiments can help students learn physics, and been invited to serve as reviewers and meeting organizers by the national American Association of Physics Teachers.

And our faculty are also productive scholars who have received competitive national grants, been invited to give presentations at national scientific meetings, and published many research articles, including several with student co-authors.

We have a broad range of expertise--including astrophysics, nuclear physics, atomic physics, plasma physics, electromagnetics and radar, and medical physics--and we are dedicated to using that expertise in teaching and in mentoring student research.
