Internships redline

Psychology students There are several internship arrangements within the community for advanced students interested in practical experience and research in mental health and juvenile delinquency.

After adequate course preparation, students may also participate in internship programs on a full-time basis. In recent years several such programs have been established with the cooperation of other organizations. Every year approximately 12 Wittenberg students participate in clinical or research internships in the Springfield area or in the student's own community. Students have had internships at sites such as the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH and the National Institutes of Health in Washington, D.C. Also, a variety of internship placements is available through the Urban Term program. Students may choose to work in human service organizations, government, corporations, or hospitals in such cities as Philadelphia, Chicago, Portland, or San Diego. These experiences enrich the formal training received in a classroom by "hands-on" application.
