Wittenberg University is proud of being one of the Charter Members of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology. Since Psi Chi was founded in 1929, over 950 chapters have formed nationwide. You should take great pride in following in the footsteps of many famous psychologists who excelled at Wittenberg.

As an organization, the aims of Psi Chi are summarized in two Greek words: Psyche (Psy-key), suggesting "mind" or scholarship, symbolizes enrichment of the mind. Cheires, meaning "hands", symbolizes fellowship and research. Membership is open to graduate and undergraduate men and women who are making the study of psychology one of their major interests, and who meet the minimum qualifications.

Psi Chi is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the American Psychological Society (APS). Psi Chi publishes Eye on Psi Chi and the Psi Chi Journal of Undergraduate Research.
