Math Placement Level Requirement for Sociology Majors
As a sociology major, you need a score of 23, and the time constraint for this requirement is sophomore year. We encourage you to go as soon as possible to a nifty place called Math Workshop to check out your situation and see what you need to do, if anything.

Here also is a link to the Math Workshop Web page:

http://www4.wittenberg.edu/administration/math_workshop/mathdes.html

Note that, since Research Methods 307, a five credit course, is an M course in the major, you do not need to take an M course elective.

Note as well that, to enroll in a statistics course, you need a Math Level Placement of 23. Sociology majors are expected to have taken a statistics course before they enroll in Research Methods 307.

If you have questions about the requirement, please come see the Department Chair or talk with another faculty member in the Department.
