Shih-Ming Li Chang
is the Associate Professor
of Theatre and Dance at Wittenberg University, Artistic Director of the
Chinese Culture Performance Troupe in Columbus, and Vice President of the
OhioDance, a performer, choreographer and a mother of four lovely Children.
At Wittenberg Mrs. Chang teaches modern, jazz, ballet, tap, and Chinese
folk dancing, as well as dance composition. She also directs Wittenberg’s
Annual Dance Concert and the Wittenberg Student Dance Company. She has
performed with the Mount Holyoke Touring Ensemble, Smith College's Celebration
Dance Company, Tina Yan Dance Ensemble, Yao Ming-Lih Classical Ballet Company,
Han-Sen Dance Ensemble, Van Pelt Dance and The Chinese Culture Performance
Troupe both in Taiwan and in the U.S.A. She has given lecture-demonstrations
in Chinese Dance at Smith College, Ohio University and various places.
Chang earned her B.A. degree in Dance at the University of Chinese Culture,
Taipei, Taiwan and a M.F.A. in Dance at Smith College, Massachusetts. She
joined the Wittenberg faculty in 1986. Over the years living in the United
States Chang has participated in ADF in ’96, Jacob’s Pillow in ’87, Bates
Dance Festival ’90, White Mountain Dance Festival in ’90-’91, as well as
American College Dance Festivals, and OhioDance Festivals. Chang is currently
working on a video production on Chinese Dance. In past years she has visited
China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, collecting materials and interviewing scholars
among other things.
Ligia
Ravenna Pinheiro,Assistant Professor
of Dance, teaches courses in dance history, ethnology, popular culture,
ballet technique, and social dance. She also choreographs works for
the Wittenberg Dance Company. Ligia received her MA in Dance History and
MFA in Labanotation from The Ohio State University, and BFA in ballet Summa
Cum Laude, from the University of Cincinnati. She has presented her
research in papers and demonstrations at professional academic conferences
in the United States, Portugal, and France. Ligia danced professionally,
performing leading roles in works such as Swan Lake, The Sleeping
Beauty, Les Sylphides, and The Nutcracker, as well as
contemporary works and baroque reconstructions. She has studied Baroque
dance and Beauchamp/Feuillet notation with Catherine Turocy, Carlos Fittante,
and Nena Couch. Ligia is certified to teach Labanotation through the Dance
Notation Bureau in New York City, and has taught ballet at the University
of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music Preparatory Department, The
Ohio State University Dance Department, and private schools.
Erin
Jane Genevieve Bonneris a sophomore
here at Wittenberg. She is majoring in Communications and has a minor in
Dance. She has been with the Wittenberg Dance Company for two years now,
and has taken up to 14 years worth of styles such as Ballet, Tap, Jazz,
Pointe, Hip-Hop, Modern, and Irish. She has trained with Ronald Matti Dance,
Patti's Place, Arena's Dance Center, and Pittsburgh Irish Dance Ensemble.
Sara
Blue Jean Hallasis a sophomore who
plans to major in Biology, with a minor in Marine Science. This is her
second year in the Wittenberg Dance Company. She has 14 years of Tap experience,
and 12 years of both Ballet and Jazz. She has danced with Kathi's Dance
and Gym Center.
Maria
Catherine DiFucciais a sophomore and
this is her first year in Wittenberg's Dance Company. She is majoring in
English Literature and has a minor in Dance. She has training in Ballet,
Tap, Jazz, Modern, and even Acrobatics. She has trained with Mercyhurst
College, Long's School of the Dance, and Erie Bayfront Dance Company
Amy
Cull is
a junior who is majoring in Math, and minoring in both Dance and Education.
This is her first year in Dance Company, and she is taking classes daily
in both Ballet and Modern.
Fionna Neale-May
is a junior with a major in English
Literature, and minors in both Psychology and Dance. This is her third
year in Company, and she has taken ballet for 17 years. She is also familiar
with Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Irish/Folk, and African.
Monica Stein
is a senior at Wittenberg, who will
be graduating with a major in Psychology and a minor in Dance. She has
been in Dance Company for 3 years and acts as Company Student Representative.
She began her formal dance training here at Wittenberg, and takes daily
classes in Ballet and Modern.
Justin Metz
is a senior and this is his first year
in the Wittenberg Dance Company. He is a Psychology major, with a minor
in Performance Theater. He once gave lessons in Swing, and is experienced
in Tae Kwan Do. He is one of two males currently in the Company.
Amy
HumrichouserAmy Humrichouser is a first
year member of the Wittenberg Dance Company. She has studied ballet since
the age of three under the direction of Michelle Mitchel in Twinsburg,
OH. Amy has also participated in jazz, lyrical, tap, and ballroom dancing
classes as well as her high school's production of Joseph and the Technicolor
Dreamcoat in the past. Although she has not declared a major, she intends
to centralize her studies on philosophy and east asian studies.
Rachel
Kane Keimis a freshman at Wittenberg,
and she hasn't decided on a major as of yet. This is her first year in
WDC, and she comes from Tammy Croftcheck Dance Center. She has danced for
13 years, and has taken Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Ballet, Acrobatics, Hip-Hop,
and Modern.
Candy Joswick
is a freshman at Wittenberg and is
also a newcomer to the Company. She comes to us from Marjorie Jones School
of Ballet in Columbus, Ohio. She has taken Ballet for 13 yr., 6 of Jazz,
5 of Tap, and 3 of Modern. At the moment, she has not declared a major.
Jessie Ebie
is a sophomore at Wittenberg, and has
been in the company for 2 years. She is double majoring in Biology and
Psychology. She has taken 14 years of Tap, 13 years Jazz, 14 years Ballet,
and 3 years of Modern. She has learned from the Sharon Rae Dance Studio
and Mark Smith's Studio West Performing Arts Center.

of the Class of 2004 is a first
year Company member. Prior to attending Wittenberg, she had fourteen years
of ballet, ten years of jazz, and three years of tap. She taught all types
of dance her Senior year of High School. She is excited to be taking Modern
for the first time. She is an English major, as well as a Political Science
and Dance double minor, and plans on going into Law. She has formerly trained
at Young Artist's Studio in Indianapolis, Indiana with Judy and Hayley
Bridgewater.

is a freshman at Wittenberg University,
and is a first year Company member. She plans to major in French, and minor
in Dance. She has taken 13 years of both Ballet and Tap, and has experience
in Jazz, Pointe, Modern, Lyrical, and Clogging. She has been taught at
Northeast School of Dance and Fort Wayne Ballet.
La'Toya Vaughn
is a Freshman at Wittenberg, and is
currently majoring in Criminal Psychology. She began her formal dance training
here at Witt.
Alex Pack is
a Freshman here at Wittenberg, and is a first year Company Member, as well
as Company Assistant. He is a Physics major, with a minor in Dance. He
has had ten years of Tap training, as well as experience in Pas De Deux,
Jazz, Ballet, and Swing. His previous dance school was Columbus Youth Ballet
Academy.
Jil Applegate is
a senior at Wittenberg, and this is her first year with the Company. She
is a Theater major, minoring in English Writing. She has had 11 years of
Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Funk. She has been taught at the Little Theater
Dance Studio.
