Introductory survey of major issues in women’s studies, including feminist theory, literature and history of women, and lived experiences of women in the United States and globally. No prerequisites. Writing intensive. Every year.
490. Independent Study. Variable credit.Independent research project designed in consultation with the supervising professor. Prerequisite: Declaration of the Women’s Studies minor and permission of the instructor and the Women’s Studies Committee. Every year.

Other types of courses may also be offered with a Women’s studies emphasis and be approved for Women’s Studies credit (such as English 330: Major Authors).
