The following web-sites provide information and resources on a variety of topics which help foster awareness to women’s studies. The area of Women’s Studies consists of great diversity in race, class, ethnicity, sexuality, and age. We have selected web-sites that cover academic and social issues specific to the concerns of college students and young women who aspire to pursue college careers.
ACADEMIC PROGRAMS & WOMEN GROUPS

- About Face is a San Francisco based group who combats distorted images of women in the media and promotes a change of attitude in young women. New Moon Magazine (teen magazine for ages 8-12 which talks about fashion, parent-child relationships, music, boys, college plans, etc) also works in collaboration with this project and encourages young girls to write or e-mail the magazine with questions, comments, and concerns.http://www.about-face.org/

- Web-site by W.H.E.R.E. (Women for Healthcare Equity through Reform and Education) is a national, independent, non-profit organization. Their Mission is to strive for equity in healthcare for women. - The Society for Women's Health Research seeks to improve the health of women through research.
