Tip #1: Check your campus mailbox for the Commencement Information Booklet
If you are like the many seniors who only check their campus box once a semester, it is time to make your way to the student center. The Commencement booklet will tell you the dates of graduation, when to pick up tickets and all other important information that your parents have not stopped asking you about since September.

Tip #2: Your LAST CHANCE to order a cap and gown in the bookstore is April 11th
That new graduation outfit you bought might be adorable but just for tradition’s sake, make sure you get a cap and gown too. You can start picking them up on April 23rd.

Tip #3: Ticket Pick-up Dates
If rain forces commencement into the HPER your guests will need tickets to attend. Each graduating senior receives 6 tickets that must be picked up, with student I.D. and signature in the mailroom in the Student Center, on one of the dates mentioned below:

Monday, April 28: 9am-6pm
Tuesday, April 29: 9am-6pm
Wednesday, April 30: 9am-6pm
Thursday, May 1: 9am-6pm

Extra tickets may be requested but are not guaranteed. If commencement is held outside, tickets are not necessary. You will need your student I.D. to claim your tickets

Tip #4: Seating
Access to Commencement Hollow will be restricted until 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 10th. Guests must be seated by 1:00 p.m. *Umbrellas are not permitted as they block the view of others If graduation is held in the HPER center, the doors will open at 11:00 a.m. Special seating has been arranged for the physically disabled at the indoor and outdoor locations

Tip #5: Finding a Parking Spot
Parking will be available at the following locations: Handicap access only behind Recitation and Carnegie (by way of the plum street entrance, E. and W. Campus Drive will be closed) Student Center, Krieg Hall, Tower Hall, street parking where permitted
