Current Needs

winterThe leadership level financial commitments of Benjamin Prince Society members provide the foundation to Wittenberg's tradition of excellence and provide the necessary means to carry that excellence into the future. Most important, though, is the ability of BPS members to meet specific needs as they arise on campus. These needs grow and change every day, yet the dedication of the Benjamin Prince Society satisfies them in many special ways.

Financial Aid

More than 75 percent of all Wittenberg students receive some form of financial aid, usually in the form of scholarships, loans or grants. Without the leadership level gifts of Benjamin Prince Society members, tuition costs to students and their families would be astronomical. Wittenberg's board of directors takes constant care to ensure that yearly tuition increases are as low as possible, and most often they are much smaller than the increases by Wittenberg's peer institutions.

From each dollar that comes to Wittenberg, $.32 is used for financial aid for students.

facultyTop Notch Faculty

Wittenberg faculty see Wittenberg as more than a career - for them it is a way of life. A Wittenberg life means always being available to students, being ready to bring them experiences that take their education beyond the walls of the classroom and developing lifelong friendships with those who they meet in the halls and classrooms. Wittenberg faculty is of the highest caliber. In fact, Wittenberg has had four Ohio Professors of the Year in the last 15 years- more than any other school in Ohio. The gifts of Benjamin Prince Society members enable Wittenberg to attract and retain the highest quality faculty in order to give all Wittenberg students the opportunity to learn and study with the best that academia has to offer.

Facilities Improvement

With the addition of Hollenbeck Hall in 2000 and the Barbara Deer Kuss Science Center in 2003, the Wittenberg community is truly grateful for all of the changes and additions to campus. The gifts of Benjamin Prince Society members provide for these new, state-of-the-art facilities that give students and faculty access to leading technology for classroom instruction. Leadership level gifts of only $1,000 help equip science classrooms with lab carts and other experimental equipment. A gift of only $1,000 links a classroom to the university computing network in order to connect students to the world of technology. Benjamin Prince Society level gifts help academic centers, such as the Wittenberg Center for Applied Management which provides students with the latest technology for use in applied marketing and advertising projects.

Athletics

tigerThe Wittenberg Tigers share the same dedication and persistence on the athletic field as they do in the classroom. "Wittenberg Passion, Wittenberg Pride," is the Tiger athlete's mantra as he or she strives to push himself or herself on and off the field. Tiger athletics are stronger than ever, and it is the constant support of Benjamin Prince Society members that equips these athletes with the resources they need to succeed.
