About Senior Circle
Senior Circle is a program sponsored by The Wittenberg Fund, which engages students regarding their roles as leaders in philanthropy and the stewardship of gifts they have been given. Reinforcing the lessons seniors have learned through many uplifting Wittenberg experiences, Senior Circle becomes the graduating class’ expression of the Wittenberg motto: “Having light we pass it on to others.” Members of the graduating class challenge one another to continue the Wittenberg tradition of passing the torch of charity, education and faith by giving as generously as they received.

Goals for the class of 2010
In order for Senior Circle to be a success, the class needs your support to help us reach our goal as well as to set the standard for future classes. The challenge set forth for the Class of 2010 is to have at least 50 percent of all graduating seniors give their first gift back to Wittenberg. If our class achieves this goal, we would have the highest participation of any senior class since Senior Circle’s initiation.
The Wittenberg Fund
The Wittenberg Fund is the sustaining fund that provides financial support for virtually every purpose and function of the Wittenberg learning community.  Contributions provide sustaining support for academic, scholarship, cultural and athletic programs; faculty retention and recruitment; campus renewal and beautification; and other department programs and initiatives.

Why Give?
In 1848, just three years into Wittenberg’s existence, President Keller did not have the funds needed to complete Myers Hall’s West Wing. Several students passionate about the University’s ideals started donating money so that Wittenberg’s first building could be completed and the University could remain open.

Giving a charitable gift is an expression of your compassion for others. This expression is a core value of a Wittenberg education. YOU can pass the light of learning onto others. Continue the Wittenberg tradition of giving back!

Help Us Reach Our Goal!

How to give:
Making your Senior Senior gift is simple and there are several options:

• Download a Senior Circle pledge form and return it with your gift of cash, check or major credit card to The Wittenberg Fund Office in the Bayley Alumni House.

• Contact a Senior Circle Chair or Senior Class representative: Leslie Chasteen, Corbin Neike, Betty Cheney, Andrea Berry, Laura Schumaker, Lauren Woodard, or Greg Harvey.
