This, the Alumni Association's highest
honor, is given in grateful
recognition to Wittenberg alumni, faculty, staff and friends for service
to Wittenberg above and beyond what might
be expected of any contributor to the university's welfare.

Mr. J. Douglas Andrews, 1964 (post humously)
Andrews, who passed away on Feb. 18 of this year, was a member of the Wittenberg
University Board of Directors from 1983-96. In 1994 he served on the
presidential search committee, which brought current president Baird Tipson to
the post, and he was a member of the Sequicentennial Challenge Committee, which
coordinated a $15.5 million fund-raising effort for the university. Andrews was
a partner in the executive search firm Clarey & Andrews Inc. in Northbrook, Ill., which was named one of the 50 leading executive recruiting firms in the United States in 1988.
