I. Why start an Alumni Club in your area?
Wittenberg
Alumni Chapter Mission:
Alumni
Clubs will provide opportunities for Wittenberg University alumni to
connect with other alumni, faculty and administrators through social
and educational events; volunteer on behalf of the University by supporting
the efforts of the Office of Admission and the Career Center; and educate
alumni to increase alumni participation in The Wittenberg Fund.
Wittenberg
alumni are positive and enthusiastic about our alma mater! Many have
expressed an interest in staying connected to Wittenberg by meeting
with alumni in their local area. An Alumni Club would benefit our alumni
and increase the University's visibility.
Wittenberg alumni want to volunteer! Opportunities for alumni club members
include:
- Plan social and educational events for alumni in their local area
- Attending college fairs representing the Office of Admission
- Joining Tiger Career Network to give career and job search advice
for Wittenberg students and other alumni
- Provide an internship at your job site for Wittenberg students
- Coordinating a regional alumni phonathon to support The Wittenberg
Fund
| An
effective Wittenberg Alumni Chapter will:
- Host 2-3 local alumni events each year with the support
of the Alumni Office.
- Maintain a core group of alumni volunteers to lead chapter
activities.
- Encourage alumni to be active volunteers by serving as a
reunion volunteer or class agent, logging on the to Tiger
Career Network, and/or assisting the Admission Office recruit
students.
- Communicate with the Alumni Office on a regular basis.

are volunteer driven and Office of Alumni Relations supported. The
payment of dues is not required and formal officer or committee assignments
are not necessary to lead an effective chapter.
