Guidelines for Planning Greek Reunions
  • To give alumni enough of an advanced notice about your event in October, you should begin planning in March.
  • Decide what type of event you would like to plan (formal/informal, sit-down dinner, open house etc.)
  • Secure a venue (many of the large banquet spaces on and off campus book very early during homecoming weekend)
  • Evaluate what metods you will use to attract your alumni back to campus:

     - Focus on a certain decade of alumni to contact personally

     - Hold a reunion for specific pledge classes

     - Send out as many invitations as possible

     - Celebrate a special anniversary or accomplishment of your chapter

  • Contact the Alumni Office or your national chapter headquarters to get lists of alumni.

     - The Alumni Office can even help with mailing out your invitations if approached early        enough.

  • Notify the Alumni Office of the event details so that they can be placed on the general homecoming schedule before summer break.
  • Send invitations three months prior to the event

The Office of Alumni Relations would love to help you plan your next reunion...please contact us with questions. alumni@wittenberg.edu
