Why are you looking for a
job? Do you need to pay college expenses.save up for a spring break
trip.pay car insurance? Wouldn't it be great if you could find a job
that would put money in your pocket and look good on a résumé? A "career
starter" job is one that provides hands-on experience and allows
you to apply what you've learned in the classroom. Although you can
occasionally find this type of job during the academic year, the majority
of these jobs are offered during the summer. (Note: The application
deadlines for such opportunities are usually in the late winter or early
spring.) The following links will help you to begin your search for
a "career starter" job.
You should also keep in mind that some internships provide an hourly
wage or stipend - another great way to get career experience and put
money in your pocket. To learn how to search for internships, go to
Wittenberg's Internships page.
