Graduate Accounts

This information is provided to let you know what happens with your Windows accounts, personal Web pages, myWitt Portal access, and email after graduation.

Windows Accounts and Network Drives

Windows accounts are only available to current students. All Windows accounts for seniors will be permanently disabled six months after their graduation date. This means you will not be able to retrieve files located on any network drive including the Web server after this date. Personal Web pages will be removed at the same time. You can e-mail, burn to CD (most campus labs), or back up your files in another fashion before that date.

myWitt Portal Access

You will have Portal access up to six months after graduation.

E-Mail

Your e-mail messages at Wittenberg WILL BE DELETED six months after your graduation date. Your e-mail address MUST BE FORWARDED TO ANOTHER ACCOUNT. Use the myWitt Portal to forward your emails until your account is disabled. If you need copies of your e-mail messages, please copy them before your account is deactivated. After your account is disabled, you will need to use the Alumni Network. See information below about the Alumni Network.

Options to get copies of e-mail messages:

  1. Forward the e-mail message(s) to another off campus e-mail address
  2. Export your e-mail messages as an Outlook file to use on another computer. For this, you’ll need to use Outlook either from a campus computer or your own.

The University no longer offers traditional e-mail service for alumni and instead is offering e-mail forwarding. You can continue to receive messages through your Wittenberg e-mail address, but must have it forwarded to a non-Wittenberg account. In order to setup your student e-mail account to forward messages to your preferred e-mail address, you must log into the Wittenberg Alumni Network.

  1. Follow this link to the Wittenberg Alumni Network.
  2. Locate yourself in the Account Lookup and insert your Constituent ID (student ID).

Questions regarding the Alumni Network should be directed to Alumni Relations at (937)327-6374 or send an email to Alumni.

If for some reason you will be staying to take additional classes or to work for the University, please contact the Registrar's Office or Human Resources so they can notify the Solution Center before your account expires.
