Install Eudora using the setup.exe found in the
\Eudora\ folder.
Reboot if asked.
Choose "Create a brand new e-mail account" when the setup for mail begins.
Choose a personality name, such as "Work".
Fill in your complete e-mail address - jdoe@wittenberg.edu.
You will need to enter your login name and choose IMAP as the type of server you are using.
Location prefix on the next page remains blank.
The name of the outgoing server is smtp.wittenberg.edu. *NOTE: If you are NOT dialing Wittenberg as your ISP, you must use the SMTP server name of your Internet Service Provider. You may need to contact the ISP for that information.
To register Eudora for Paid mode, open the program.
Open the Help menu and select Payment & Registration.
Click the Enter Code button and enter this information in the fields:
First Name: Wittenberg University
Last Name : Site License
Number : See the Readme.txt file on the CD
To start Eudora for the first time:
Double-click the Eudora icon on the background screen.
Right-click the word "Dominant" in the left column and select "Refresh Mailbox List" from the menu.
Type your e-mail password (it may not necessarily match the Windows NT password) into the space and click OK.
Double-click the Inbox (below Dominant) in the left column.
To change your e-mail password:
Currently e-mail passwords can only be changed from the Witt Portal Portal.
Rules for changing passwords:
You cannot reuse the last five passwords used for Windows NT/2000.
You must use a numeric character within the first 8 characters of the password.
The password must contain at least one capitalized alphabetic character and one lowercase alphabetic character within the first eight characters.
The minimum length password is 6 characters. (Reminder: E-mail, Windows, and WebCT passwords are separate; changing one does NOT change the other.)
